One of my goals during every engagement session ha One of my goals during every engagement session has nothing to do with the photos. I want you to leave feeling like you just spent a really good evening together. We'll walk around, talk, laugh at whatever ridiculous prompt I gave you five minutes earlier, and somewhere along the way you'll probably stop thinking about the camera altogether. When that happens, everything changes. The smiles get easier. The photos feel more like memories. And instead of wondering if you looked awkward, you leave thinking, "That was actually a lot of fun." If your engagement session feels more like a date than a photoshoot, I know we did something right. If you could plan your perfect date night anywhere, where are you going?
Everyone wants beautiful engagement photos, but if Everyone wants beautiful engagement photos, but if I'm being honest, my favorite images are almost never the ones where you're standing perfectly still. They're the ones in between; the laugh after I tell you to whisper something ridiculous, the way you instinctively reach for each other's hand, or the smile that sneaks out before I even lift my camera back up. Those are the moments I remember from a session. They're also the ones I know you'll treasure years from now because they don't just show what this season looked like, they remind you what it felt like. That's why I spend less time worrying about perfect poses and more time creating an experience where you can simply be together. What's one little thing your partner does that makes you smile every single time?

But some of the photos you’ll treasure most are the ones you never could have planned. 🤍 Your people laughing together. The look on someone’s face when they think no one is watching. The hugs, happy tears, and tiny moments happening while you’re busy living your own. That’s why I’m always watching beyond the “must-have” photos. Because your wedding gallery shouldn’t just show you what your day looked like. It should let you see all the love that was happening around you, too.
