WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Horray, You’re Engaged

What now?

FIRST, you’ll likely start looking for your venue. You want a venue that will fit your vibe. Venues book pretty far out and can be limited on weekend availability so the venue you pick will likely determine your set wedding date. If you are at this stage, here is an article going over some of my favorite Central Arkansas Venues.

Once you have your wedding date locked in, it’s time to choose your wedding photographer. Photography is one of the only things you’ll keep forever from your wedding, besides your significant other. It’ll be passed down for years to come as you share your story with your future grandchildren, while other things will be tossed away the night of.
Your photographer is also someone you will be spending the entire day with. They will be by your side from the time you get ready to the time you depart, so you’ll want someone you’re comfortable with. Below are the three most things to consider when choosing a wedding photographer.

Things to consider when

choosing your wedding photographer

Do you like their style?

Look at their photos on their website. Creep their Instagram page. Do you like light and airy, dark in moody, warm neutral tones, and lots of sun? These are just a few things to look for. Here is an article that explains the different types of styles.

Are they within your budget?

My standard package starts at $2,000 with customized add-ons to fit your needs. View Packages.

Do Your personalities mesh well?

This is so essential to make sure you feel comfortable with the person who will be by your side all day. I’m a laid-back, go-with-the-flow person.  I am your helping hand so you can enjoy the process. With much experience to reference, I’m only a text away for advice. I provide information, recommendations, & will help guide you in the unfamiliar territory so we can quickly knock out those things together with no added stress.

The exciting

Process

If you’ve looked through my photos, got to know me and our budgets align, it may be time to make the next move. Here is what my process looks like so you know exactly what to expect when you book me as your wedding photographer.

1

Reserve Your Date

25% Nonrefundable deposit is required to reserve your date. If other arrangements need to be made, please let me know. My couples also have the option of a custom payment plan.

2

Start Planning

Once you’re date is locked in, we’ll jump on a call to discuss your vision for your day, anything I can help you with and planning for any additional sessions like engagement or bridals.

3

Questionaire

I’ll be in touch leading up to your day with resources that may be helpful. Once we’re a month out from your date, I’ll send out a questionaire for important details to help prepare the timeline.

4

Celbebrate

I’ll send over a drafted timeline with my start and start time & details list before hand. From there, it’s your goal to soak in every moment and have the most fun while I handle the details.

Custom packages

Frequent Questions

Below are some common questions I get as a wedding photographer. I want to make this process as easy as possible so if there is anything else that comes to mind, don’t hestitate to reach out!

What's the turn around time?

For standard sessions, such as engagement and bridals, it’s a 2-week turnaround time.

For a wedding or elopement, there are typically several hundred photos to hand-edit so the turnaround time is a bit longer. It can take up to 2 months to receive your full gallery, however, I know how excited and anxious we can all get waiting to get those back so I also include a sneak peek a week after the session.

How many images do you recieve?

There’s no exact number as I deliver all the best images for your wedding day. However, a good rule of thumb is around 50 photos for every hour of shoot time. If your wedding has 4 hours of coverage 200 photos would be estimated for delivery, if your day had 8 hours of coverage 400 photos would be the estimate.

Is there a travel fee?

No, your price quoted above covers the whole state of Arkansas. If you are interested in hiring me for a destination wedding, additional arrangements will be made including travel.

Kind Words

THE MOST WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!

Nikki was an absolute God send. There is no one I would rather use than her! She is so sweet and accommodating to not only the bride, but the groom as well. Nikki helped calm me down the day of the wedding from my nervous jitters. She did every photo pose I requested and more. What made it even more special, was she found time for my husband and I to spend a few minutes together away from everyone else. 10/10 would recommend Nikki to anyone. I cannot praise her enough!
